Planning Assistant III
The position is critical to the function of the BCA program. The purpose of the position is to provide accurate demand and schedule in MRP, maintain document and configuration baseline, maintain program(s) status and support Planning Assistant I, Planning Assistant II and Shipping position. The Planning Assistant III will have the responsibility to communicate concise, accurate, and clear information with production and the customer. The position includes, but is not limited to, the duties and responsibilities listed below.
It is expected that the Planning Assistant III will represent KMM in a professional manner at all times, be responsive, and respectful to customers and coworkers. This position requires the knowledge and understanding of planning and master scheduling and the effect of accurate data for KMM procurement activities to be able to provide material on time for the production process and the ability of production to meet the customer expectations and schedules.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Planning Assistant I
o Download data from Boeing (Hubspan) computer
o Import data into database and analyze data for accuracy in the automation of the database
o Order and download drawings
o Order shop aids when needed
o Verify drawings, shop aids, and other data needed for production
o Notify engineers and contracts personnel when data is incomplete
o Release jobs in Dynamics (assign MO’s to bundles) to production floor
o Print drawings, shop aids, and bat tags for production use
o Prep totes – organize shop aid paperwork
o Sort and scan paperwork after product has shipped
o Burn scanned paperwork to CD
• Assist Planning Assistant II
o Release jobs in Dynamics (assign MO’s to bundles)
o Enter Sales Orders
o MO Receipt & Invoice
o Maintain LOB, BTT Status, and Korry Status
o Maintain Document Baseline
• Assist Shipping
o Prepare documentation, maintain records, and coordinates logistics for product shipment
o Accurate data entry using the proper tracking software and KMM manufacturing system
o Place items correctly into the required shipping containers, verifying the labeling and pack slip requirements are per individual product and customer requirements
o Monitor packaging supplies and replace or order as needed to prevent delays in production shipments
o Communicate any problems or issues to the Administrative Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Lead, Program Manager or Human Resource Department

Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge:
The position requires the employee to have proficient computer skills as well as knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. This position also requires excellent written, verbal and phone communication skills with customers and coworkers. The employee must have the ability to read and understand customer drawings and specifications. In addition, the employee must also be self-motivated, with little directions after initial training. Excellent problem solving skills, identifying problems, causes, and the ability to provide solutions are required.
Physical requirements, i.e. vision, lifting, standing, sitting, etc, and environment/working conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Employee must have the ability to use a computer and to transfer data as needed to computer programs, which requires the ability to see written documents and a computer screen.
Equipment and Machinery used:
The position requires the use of a computer and related software, and standard office equipment necessary in completing job tasks.
